Research facilities

Our versatile research facilities, high-quality audio and video equipment, research software, high level of data security and good traffic connections provide an ideal setting for conducting usability testing.

Usability labs

Our three usability laboratories are suitable for testing a variety of applications and devices. We record the screen when testing computer applications and website. Our ceiling and tripod-mounted cameras allow recording tests of devices and paper prototypes. We record sound with studio-quality microphones and an audio processing system. We record both video and audio digitally to produce high-quality recordings.

Equipment

The video and audio signals can be shared to our observation rooms, allowing you to observe the tests on the spot. If needed, the screen capture and camera signals can be combined to facilitate following both simultaneously.

We use a regular Windows computer for testing computer applications and websites. You can also provide your own computer for the tests. One of our laboratories is equipped with Tobii eye-tracking software for recording and analysing the user’s eye movements.

Observation rooms

For real-time observation of tests, we have two rooms. The larger room has a table and seats for 10 people, a video projector, and high-quality speakers for audio. The smaller room has a table and seats for 6 people, with an HDTV for video and audio.

Focus group interview room

Our meeting room doubles as a focus group interview room, with seats for 10 people. The room also has an HD video camera and high-quality microphones for recording the interviews.

Hiring the research facilities

We also hire our research facilities for individual tests or testing projects. The hiring services are aimed at companies wishing to perform their own testing but lacking the facilities.
